The 4th of 8 cruise ships Viking Ocean Cruises ordered from Fincantieri, Viking Sun, was delivered on Monday, September 25, at the shipyard in Ancona.
Just like her sister ships, Viking Sun is placed in the small cruise ship segment. With a GT of nearly 47,800 tons, the ship has 465 cabins able to accommodate 930 guests, with a total capacity of more than 1,400 people, including crew.
The Viking Ocean Cruises ships are all constructed according to the latest navigation regulations and equipped with the most contemporary safety systems, including “Safe return to port”. They also boast the most advanced technologies for meeting the strictest environmental regulations and for energy saving with an exhaust gas cleaning system and energy-efficient engines.
