Star Cruises will return to homeport in Manila March 2018, with new cruises, now between the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan.

Heralded as the world's 3rd-largest cruise line, Hong Kong-based Star Cruises started offering a 5-night cruise out of Manila to Naha, Keelung and back to Manila. Another offering is a 5-night cruise from Manila to Ishigaki, Keelung, and back to Manila.

Both voyages will be onboard SuperStar Virgo and cost US$540 per person. The Naha cruise begins on March 5 with the last trip on May 28, while the Ishigaki voyage will make the first departure April 14 and end May 29.

Once Manila's new cruise port and terminal is completed, more cruise lines are expected to homeport in Manila.
