Passenger Medevaced From Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship

A 76-year-old female passenger suffering cardiac arrest has been winched from a cruise ship about 80 nm off Ballina coastline yesterday, December 21.

Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has recovered the woman from Voyager of the Seas.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter had to fly to the cruise ship twice to complete the mission.

The patient has been transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in critical condition.
