At about 2:00 p.m. yesterday, January 12, the ferry 'Fantastic' of Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) company, from Tangier, collided with the Viking Star cruise ship, which was docked in Terminal B of the port of Barcelona.
The authorities said the accident was 'unusual', particularly because visibility was very good at the time.
An investigation is underway to find out if the collision was caused by a human error or mechanical failure.
There have been no injuries. The damage, which is apparently minimal, is being evaluated.
