Pride of America Delayed Due to Hurricane Lane

On Friday, August 24, Norwegian Cruise Line issued a statement about the schedules for its Hawaii-based Pride of America ship that operates within the islands.

According to the statement, due to Hurricane Lane in the Pacific, they had modified the itinerary for Pride of America and the ship was out at sea, away from the storm.

Pride of America returns to Honolulu on August 26 (Sunday). Ship's previously scheduled August 25 trip was delayed until August 27 (Monday). Embarkation is available on both August 26 and August 27.

Hurricane Lane is moving closer to the islands over the weekend prior to heading further west into the Pacific. It is expected to bring "life-threatening amounts of rain," (30-40 inches), surf swells of 15-25 feet and gusts of 75 mph.
