VIDEO: AIDAaura Departs Hamburg at the Start of a World Cruise

On Monday, October 8, at 8:00 p.m. AIDAaura received a grand send-off with fireworks in Hamburg, as she sallied forth to her first world cruise, visiting 20 countries and a total of 41 cruise ports.

Besides popular destinations, new calls like South Africa, Namibia, Tasmania, Melbourne, Samoa, New Caledonia, and the archipelagos Fiji.

The first part of her world cruise leads AIDAaura across the equator to South America. Dream destinations in Argentina and Brazil are awaiting the passengers. Alongside the coast of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, the route heads to the world's southernmost city, Ushuaia.

Following a few stops in Chile, AIDAaura visits Bora Bora, Tahiti, and Fiji on her way to Australia. After landings in New Caledonia, Australia and Tasmania, the cruise continues to Mauritius, crossing the Indian Ocean. Newly included are also ports in South Africa and Namibia, inspiring with their diversified nature.

After 117 days, the voyage comes to an end in Hamburg on February 2, 2019.
