Kapitan Khlebnikov to Explore the Russian Arctic in 2019

Wild Earth Travel is due to sail across top of the world to explore Russian Arctic onboard the famous Russian Icebreaker, Kapitan Khlebnikov, July 2019.

The expedition will cross the Arctic Circle to visit the pristine Wrangel Island and explore the shores of Chukotka.

Kapitan Khlebnikov was constructed by Finland’s Wartsila Company. Owned by the Russian company FESCO Group (its subsidiary "Far East Shipping Company"), this icebreaking vessel is generaly used for supplying mines, resource exploitation industries and for scientific expeditions.

Aaron Russ, Wild Earth Travel’s General Manager, is looking forward to leading 2 out of the 3 expeditions to the High Arctic onboard the unique vessel.

The voyage has 3 sailings on July 8, July 22 and August 5, 2019, inclusive of 2-week accommodation onboard Kapitan Khlebnikov, and the option to add one night pre- and post-cruise accommodation in Nome. Prices start from US$13,625 per person.
