Valletta Cruise Port to Welcome Increased Costa Cruises Calls 2020

Costa Cruises is increasing its number of port calls to Valletta in 2020. A press conference was held aboard Costa Fascinosa to launch Malta-to-Malta voyages aboard Costa Cruises’ vessels, with 32 departures due to be operated from late March through early November 2020.

Costa Cruises’ Sales & Marketing Director, Alessandro Bottaro showcased the cruise line's growth along its 71-year history, highlighting the growth plans of cruise industry until 2027. 

Michael Abele, Group Commercial Director of Orange Cruises provided detailed information about the itinerary of Malta-to-Malta voyages of both 2019 and 2020.

Costa Cruises is an esteemed visitor to Valletta bringing more than 474,000 passenger movements on about 200 calls between 2014-2018. Stephen Xuereb, CEO of Valletta Cruise Port & COO of Global Ports Holding, commented that Costa will be re-introducing visits in Q3 of 2020. In 2020, the cruise line will be welcoming around 110,000 passenger movements onboard 37 calls as compared to 38,000 passenger movements onboard 18 calls in 2019.
