Aurora Expeditions announced that it will be building a 2nd X-bow ship, due to launch in the autumn of 2021.

The new vessel on order (sistership to Greg Mortimer) is also owned by SunStone Ships Inc (USA) and will have the patented X-Bow that significantly reduces emissions. According to Robert Halfpenny (company's Managing Director), sales for their polar cruises had been "phenomenal, with a virtually sold out upcoming Antarctic 2019-2020 season."

In excess of 60% of the inventory had already been sold for Antarctica 2020-2021 and with the 2nd ship, they were able to ensure that the demand for places was met without causing disappointment to those who had not been able to join them during Greg Mortimer’s inaugural season.

The cruise ship will launch from homeport Ushuaia Aurora Expeditions' Antarctica 2021-2022 season.
