Celebrity Solstice had just departed Friday evening, July 19, for Ketchikan AK, when she had to sail back to Seattle due to a power outage.

The US Coast Guard (USCG) was out with the cruise vessel, that regained power and was returning to Port Seattle at a slower speed.

According to Petty Officer Third Class Trevor Lilburn, a spokesman for the USCG, the vessel lost all power soon after leaving the cruise port. There were no injuries reported or danger to passengers.

Celebrity Cruises will have to get a classified inspection prior to the ship going back into service. At the time of the accident, the ship was departing on a 7-day, roundtrip Alaska Glacier Cruise.
