The 680-passenger ship Oceania Regatta is getting a makeover which includes new carpets, furnishings, TVs, and the vessel will have her hull stripped and re-coated.
The 30,000GT vessel will be docked at Seaspan Vancouver Drydock for the refit. More than 2,000 workers will stay on Grand Classica, docked nearby.
Regatta will be docked until September 21 and work will be underway 24 hours per day until completion.
On its website, Seaspan says that the refurbishment is expected to bring USD 10 million to the economy of North Vancouver.
