Uniworld River Cruises announced the launch of new Peruvian Amazon River itineraries in 2020. The cruises will be on the Aria Amazon houseboat, with the Uniworld boat charter starting in September 2020, on which passengers will be joined by local tour guides.
One of the itineraries (15-day "Peruvian Amazon and Machu Picchu Exploration") features a land stay in a 5-star hotel in Lima Peru, while the 7-night itinerary is through the Amazon rainforest and visits Cusco and Machu Picchu.
An 11-day "Peruvian Rivers and Rainforest Discovery" voyage visits Iquitos and features cruising through Pacaya–Samiria National Reserve (Amazonian jungle in northeastern Peru).
The 16-cabin riverboat Aria Amazon has floor-ceiling windows, indoor bar lounge, outdoor observation deck with whirlpool tub.
From December 16, 2020, the new itineraries will be first available to River Heritage Club members (guests who have sailed with Uniworld before). Fares start at US$18,799 per person. The maiden voyage departs on September 23, 2020.
