Six crew members on Pride of America docked at Honolulu Harbor (Oahu Island, Hawaii) tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19), and two are hospitalized.

The state said there were 500 crew members onboard the ship.

Passengers have not been allowed on the Norwegian Cruise Line vessel since March 14, 2020.

In a news release, the state said it was coordinating with the cruise company and following CDC protocol to determine when the healthy crew could be allowed to leave the cruise ship and return to their home state.

Pride of America is the only cruise liner that has a homeport in Hawaii.

During normal operations, the ship visits the islands but doesn't leave the state. Pride of America is scheduled to depart Hawaii later in April to enter dry dock.
