CroisiEurope - One of the world's largest river cruise companies - confirmed its restart dates for this year, following months of suspension due to the pandemic.

The company is expected to restart passenger shipping operations on Seine River (in France) from July 13. On July 16, CroisiEurope resumes sailings on Rhone River (boats) and Burgundy Canal (hotel barges). Rhine River cruises restart on July 20, sailings to Corsica Island (France) begin on July 26. Loire River cruising restarts return on July 31, on Gironde River - on August 26.

CroisiEurope resumes Danube River cruising from July 31 and on Elbe River - on August 3. As UK tourists to Portugal are still required to quarantine on arrival and return, Douro River cruises resume on August 7. CroisiEurope's Croatia / Adriatic Sea cruises (via the brand CroisiMer) begin on August 13. Other European destinations will be offered progressively throughout season 2020.

Due to its vessels' small passenger capacity, CroisiEurope insists it can provide a “top-quality service in a truly relaxing, safe-and-sound setting”.

The company's new onboard health and safety regulations include health questionnaires before boarding, temperature checks, disinfection of luggage for each passenger. Masks and sanitizer gel will be provided. Social distancing has to be adhered to.

Meals will take place over 2 service times with assigned seating and table service, while common rooms and cabins will be regularly disinfected.

All crew are also monitored for Coronavirus symptoms and have been trained in the new safety measures.
