Crystal River Cruises launches Crystal Clean+ 2.0 health and safety protocols

   August 12, 2020 ,   Cruise Industry

Crystal Cruises announced the expansion of its Crystal Clean+ (safety and health protocols) to the sisterships of Crystal River Cruises.

Crystal River Cruises’ initial health and safety protocols (considered the 2.0 version) were specially developed with the latest data from medical experts in order to meet the unique challenges posed by the pandemic and will be evaluated and adjusted when new information is available.

The company is committed to being in compliance with local regulations set by the European cities and states the cruise ships visit. The company's protocols comprise enhanced cleaning procedures; health monitoring for guests and crew members; social distancing and facial covering requirements; shoreside partner collaborations; new streamlined embarkation procedures; and more.

The Crystal Clean+ protocols for the fleet of Crystal River Cruises includes but is not limited to:

  • Pre-Boarding & Embarkation
  • Capacity Control & Social Distancing
  • Disinfection Procedures
  • Responsive Mask Policy
  • Food & Beverage
  • Shoreside Partners & Excursions
  • Shoreside Medical Resources
  • Crew member Standards & Practices
  • Air Filtration & Ventilation.

Crystal Clean+ will be implemented aboard the line’s river ships when they return to cruising the Rhine, Main, Moselle, and Danube rivers in 2021, as the company has paused sailings of its fleet through the end of 2020.
