SeaDream Yacht Club cancels all 2020 Caribbean cruises due to Coronavirus

The ultra-luxury brand SeaDream Yacht Club announced it had decided to cancel all voyages for the remainder of 2020 after COVID-positive test results.

Multiple negative PCR tests had been required before the passengers boarded the superyacht SeaDream 1, but that had not been sufficient to prevent an onboard virus outbreak.

SeaDream successfully operated 20+ cruises during the pandemic without any cases and further improvements were made to protocols prior to the Bridgetown Barbados homeporting season in the Caribbean.

The company will spend time evaluating and see if it's possible to operate and have a high degree of certainty of not getting Coronavirus.

7 passengers and 2 crew tested COVID-positive by Barbados health authorities.
