Emerald's selection of city stays can be added to most itineraries. New for 2022, Amsterdam joins Prague, Paris, Madrid and Berlin, on the list of river cities that can be added to the beginning/end of a river voyage. On select departures for Jewels of the Rhine and Splendours of Europe itineraries, guests can extend the trip with 2 nights in a centrally located hotel in Amsterdam. Guests enjoy breakfast daily and transfer to/from the airport. 10-day Jewels of The Rhine including Amsterdam itineraries start at CAD 3840 per person. 17-day Splendours of Europe including Amsterdam itineraries start at CAD 6595 per person.

A visit to the Floriade Horticulture Expo in 2022 is offered on select Rhine River cruises from Amsterdam. Floriade Horticulture Expo takes place in The Netherlands every 10 years, between April-October. Passengers can experience a spectacular greenhouse complex, the 40 inspiring country presentations, a cable car over Floriade park, pavilions with sustainable innovations, a vibrant arts and culture program. The 8-day Springtime Delights itinerary, which also visits the famed Keukenhof Gardens (Lisse Holland) during the tulip bloom, is offered from CAD 4245 per person.

5-day Christmas Market river cruises visit a new market city each day. Emerald has increased its portfolio of Christmas market river cruises with a selection of 5-day itineraries on the Rhine, Danube, and for the first time, the Rhone, to appeal to guests looking for a shorter getaway. On the 5-day Christmas in Southern France cruise, passengers take a festive trip through medieval southern France and witness Christmas traditions in Provincial style. Prices start at CAD 1945 per person.
