Viking OCEAN announced it would restart limited operations in May 2021 with 3 special sailings along the coast of England.
Exclusively available for UK residents, the new 8-day ocean itinerary called "England’s Scenic Shores" will sail round-trip from Portsmouth, with scheduled departures on May 22, May 29, June 5, 2021.
Passengers on "England’s Scenic Shores" will be among the first to sail onboard Viking’s newest ocean cruise ship, Viking Venus, which is due to be delivered in April. Pre-registration for the new itinerary is currently open only to Viking’s loyal past passengers. Reservations will be in due course available to all UK residents.
Viking Cruises was the first line to suspend operations at the beginning of the pandemic, and the update about the restart was triggered because the government recently signaled it would allow the resumption of domestic sailings beginning in May 2021. All previously scheduled Viking cruises through May 31, 2021, remain canceled.
