The U.S. comeback of RCI-Royal Caribbean International marked the line's first step forward with the return to Alaska this summer.

RCI revealed plans to launch the Alaska season with 7-night sailings roundtrip from Seattle WA on returning favorites Serenade of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas, starting July 19 and August 13, respectively.

The new summer 2021 Alaska journeys on Serenade and Ovation are now available to book.

Serenade of the Seas will commence operations in July, sailing roundtrip from Seattle WA, a change from her previously scheduled homeport Vancouver BC. Onboard, the vessel will deliver awe-inspiring views from the signature glass elevators and floor-to-ceiling windows. The week-long itinerary features popular ports of call, such as Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Ketchikan, and Sitka, as well as Dawes Glacier and Endicott Arm fjord.

Ovation of the Seas is next in line in August pairing the natural wonders and fjords of the region with a lineup of onboard experiences. From the RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator to the North Star glass observation capsule, guests can take in sights of the scenic landscape and scenery of the destinations, including the Inside Passage, Skagway, and Juneau, from unique viewpoints.

Cruisers can plan their Alaska trip with peace of mind knowing that all crew and passengers 16+ years of age will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and everyone 12+ as of August 1. Those underage will receive a test before sailing.

Travel partners and passengers impacted by the affected cruises will be contacted directly with the new options. The reservations are covered by the company’s Cruise with Confidence program.
