AOV-Atlas Ocean Voyages announced that the luxe-adventure brand would require proof of COVID-19 vaccination from all passengers, beginning with the October 4, 2021, voyage aboard World Navigator.

The vessel is owned by the Portugal-based company Mystic Cruises and seasonally chartered by AOV (for polar cruises) and also by the European river cruise operator Nicko Tours (for the rest of the season).

The cruise brand adjusted its vaccination requirement in order to meet the changing local destinations’ COVID protocols and to ensure a safe guest experience.

AOV is requesting all passengers to furnish, in advance, a valid COVID certificate detailing they have completed their vaccination at least 14 days before embarkation. For all sailings, Atlas Ocean Voyages will administer a mandatory antigen test at embarkation as well as require passengers to provide a valid negative result from a PCR test taken up to 72 hours, or a valid negative result from an antigen test taken up to 48 hours, before embarkation.

All AOV shipboard staff and crew are vaccinated, and the company continues to monitor the changing international travel requirements and will adjust its health & safety protocols as appropriate.
