Highly awarded singer and actress Elaine Paige will serve as godmother to the new all-suite ship of Seabourn - Seabourn Ovation.
Paige originated Eva Peron's role (Evita), followed by Grizabella (Cats) and Florence (Chess). She also starred in a lot of West End and Broadway musicals, and is often called "The First Lady of British Musical Theatre." Elaine Paige was awarded an Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II, in 1995.
The naming ceremony of Seabourn Ovation will take place on May 11, 2018 in Valletta, during a ceremony that will light up the UNESCO Site. Seabourn Encore's sistership, Ovation is the 5th ultra-luxury ship in the fleet of Seabourn and will sail on a variety of cruises in and around Europe between May-November 2018.
