Antilla is a municipality and city in Holguin Province, Cuba. It was established in 1907 as a port town and railroad terminal. Antilla is situated on Cuba's north-eastern shore, on a peninsula between Banes Bay and the Gulf of Nipe. The municipality covers 101 sq.km and contains the communities of Bijaru, Cortaderas, Canalito, Deleite, Los Novillos, Este Cabecera, Oeste Cabecera, Sao de los Hidalgos and San Jeronimo. In 2004, the Antilla municipality had a population of 12,540. With a total area of 101 sq.km (39 sq.miles), it has a population density of 115 km2.
