2018Ship Collision / Allision

On December 15, 2018, the ship collided with the berth in homeport Roscoff (France).

The collision damaged the vehicle door (allowing access to car decks). At Port Roscoff, the door became jammed and couldn't be opened for ~1,5 hours, which resulted in delayed debarkation of all car passengers.

The cruise ferry was on a cross-channel crossing from Plymouth (England).

Note: Actually, this type of marine accident is called “allision” (striking a fixed object) as opposed to “collision” (striking another vessel).
