AIDAaura cabins review
AIDAaura decks with passenger cabins have a total of 2 Suites (in 1 grade only), 60 Balcony staterooms (in 1 grade), 357 Outside/Oceanview rooms (in 5 grades) and 214 Interior cabins (in 2 grades). The number of all cabin categories is 9.
Both AIDAaura Suites offer as amenities: spacious private sundeck, bathroom (with full-size bathtub and shower cabin, WC, sink, bathrobes/slippers, luxury bath products), twin beds (convertible to queen) plus 1 sofa bed, pillow menu (5 different pillows), welcome package (fresh fruits, fine chocolates, champagne), 3-course Welcome Dinner (at Rossini), in-room breakfast (on request, from the Rossini’s a-la-carte menu), complimentary use of the Wellness facilities (on last/disembarkation day), express services (laundry, luggage, shoeshine), turn down concierge room-service, iPod docking stations, Nintendo Wii gaming consoles.
Balcony staterooms are with twin beds (convertible to queen), a seating area with table and 2 armchairs. Oceanview and Inside rooms are either with separate or convertible to queen twin beds, plus sofa and/or bunk bed, all with large Porthole Window views.
All staterooms are equipped with: wardrobe, mirrored vanity table with chair, low table with armchairs (excluding the smallest cabins), private bathroom (WC, shower stall, single-sink vanity, hairdryer, bath products), electronic safe box and lifejackets (in the closet), direct dial phone (baby monitoring option), smart HDTV, individual air conditioning.
Handicap / wheelchair-accessible cruise cabins
On AIDA Aura ship, the number of wheelchair-accessible cabins (for disabled passengers) is 4. These staterooms are in 2 categories and are all located on decks 6 and 7. Follows the stateroom numbers by category:
- Oceanview (with a porthole window) – CB-obstructed view (size 194 ft2 / 18 m2, cabins 6144, 6242, both with twin beds convertible to queen), and CA (size 183 ft2 / 17 m2, cabins 6240, 7249, both with separated twin beds).
All disabled cabins have wider doors, turning spaces, beds with open bed frames, lowered vanity in the sitting area, amplified phones (emergency phone), captioned TVs, wider bathrooms (roll-in shower, fold-down shower bench, grab bars, lower sinks and closet rods, raised toilets, hand-held showerhead).
These accommodations also feature a convenient location near the ship’s elevators.
