Celestyal Discovery cabins review
Celestyal Discovery's largest staterooms are the two Grand Horizon Suites—bow-facing triple cabins on Deck 11 above the Navigation Bridge—measuring 58 m² (42 m² interior plus a 16 m² balcony). These are followed by the two Grand Dream Suites—also bow-facing triple cabins, located on Deck 7—measuring 57 m² (32 m² interior plus a 25 m² balcony).
In 2025, the ship added 30 new Junior Dream Suites, each measuring 31 m² (25 m² interior plus a 6 m² balcony).
The outside cabins (Exterior Cosmos) are available in the following categories: BA-Balcony (double, 17 m², Deck 7), XD-Exterior (triple, 17 m², Decks 5-7), XC-Exterior (triple, 17 m², Decks 4-6), XBO-Exterior (quad, 14-17 m², Decks 6-7), XB-Exterior (quad, 14-17 m², Decks 3-6), and XA-Exterior (double, 14 m², Decks 4-5).
The inside cabins (Interior Cosmos) are categorized as IC-Interior (quad, 15 m², Decks 6-7), IB-Interior (double, 15 m², Decks 4-5), and IA-Interior (quad, 15 m², Decks 4-5).
AIDAaura decks with passenger cabins include 32 Suites (1 grade), 60 Balcony staterooms (1 grade), 357 Outside/Oceanview cabins (5 grades), and 229 Interior cabins (2 grades). The total number of cabin categories is 9.
Suite amenities include a spacious private balcony or sundeck, bathroom with full-size bathtub and shower cabin, WC, sink, bathrobes and slippers, luxury bath products, twin beds (convertible to queen) plus one sofa bed, a pillow menu (5 options), welcome package (fresh fruits, fine chocolates, champagne), a 3-course Welcome Dinner at Rossini, in-room breakfast (on request, from Rossini’s a-la-carte menu), complimentary use of Wellness facilities on disembarkation day, express services (laundry, luggage, shoeshine), turn-down concierge room service, iPod docking station, and Nintendo Wii gaming console.
Balcony staterooms include twin beds (convertible to queen), a seating area with a table and two armchairs. Oceanview and Inside cabins feature either separated or convertible-to-queen twin beds, with a sofa and/or bunk bed. All Oceanview cabins offer large porthole window views.
All staterooms are equipped with a wardrobe, mirrored vanity table with chair, low table with armchairs (excluding the smallest cabins), private bathroom (WC, shower stall, single-sink vanity, hairdryer, bath products), electronic safe, lifejackets (in the closet), direct-dial phone with baby monitoring option, smart HDTV, and individual air conditioning.
Handicap / wheelchair-accessible cruise cabins
On AIDAaura, there are four wheelchair-accessible cabins for disabled passengers, located on Decks 6 and 7. These staterooms fall into two categories, with the following cabin numbers:
- Oceanview (with porthole window) – CB (obstructed view, 18 m² / 194 ft², cabins 6144 and 6242, with twin beds convertible to queen) and CA (17 m² / 183 ft², cabins 6240 and 7249, with separated twin beds).
All accessible cabins feature wider doors and turning areas, open-frame beds, lowered vanity in the seating area, amplified emergency phones, captioned TVs, and accessible bathrooms with roll-in showers, fold-down shower benches, grab bars, lower sinks and closet rods, raised toilets, and handheld showerheads.
These staterooms are conveniently located near the ship’s elevators.
