The Delta Queen steamboat has a total of 88 passenger staterooms in 7 categories. All accommodations are with en-suite bathrooms (WC-toilet, shower, washbasin/single-sink vanity, large mirror, hairdryer, towels, razor socket), storage space (chest of drawers, underbed storage for suitecases), spacious living rooms (with either separated twin beds or double beds/Queen-size or King-size in the Suites), large windows (mostly with promenade views). The cabin furniture is Victorian age style, custom-made, wooden, with elaborate carvings and ornaments.

Luxury Suites (category AAA) are with 3x windows (on the Promenade), a King-size bed (convertible to two single beds), bathroom with bathtub (and shower), writing desk, armchairs. Two Luxury Suites (aft on Cabin Deck) have inside entrance doors (from Betty Blake Library), while the other two (forward on Sundeck) are with Promenade entrance doors and located below the Wheelhouse.

Luxury Staterooms (category A) are with inside entrance doors (accessed from Betty Blake Library) and with either two single beds or a double bed (Queen-size), 2x windows (topped with stained glass). In this category, there are 4x cabins with partially obstructed views (aft-located on Cabin Deck, room numbers 117, 118, 121, 122).

Superior Staterooms (category C) are with wood-shuttered windows, 2x single beds (non-convertible to a double bed).
