Delta Queen cabins review

The Delta Queen steamboat offers a total of 88 passenger staterooms across 7 categories. All accommodations feature en-suite bathrooms (WC, shower, washbasin with single-sink vanity, large mirror, hairdryer, towels, and razor socket), storage space (chest of drawers and underbed storage for suitcases), spacious living areas with either twin beds or double beds (Queen-size or King-size in the suites), large windows (mostly with promenade views), and 120V power outlets.

The cabin furniture is Victorian-style, custom-made in wood with ornate carvings and decorative details.

All cabins on Sun Deck (Deck 4) and Texas Deck (Deck 3) offer direct access to wraparound promenades (outdoor walking areas), with outdoor stairs connecting to other decks.

Luxury Suites (Category AAA) feature three windows facing the promenade, a King-size bed (convertible to two singles), a bathroom with bathtub and shower, a writing desk, and armchairs. Two suites (aft on Cabin Deck) have interior entrance doors via the Betty Blake Library, while the other two (forward on Sun Deck) have promenade entrance doors and are located below the Wheelhouse.

Superior Suites (Category AA) offer two windows, a non-convertible King-size bed, a writing desk, and an armchair.

Luxury Staterooms (Category A) have interior entrance doors (via the Betty Blake Library), and are equipped with either two single beds or a Queen-size double bed, and two windows topped with stained glass. Four cabins in this category (numbers 117, 118, 121, 122) are located aft on the Cabin Deck and have partially obstructed views.

Superior Staterooms (Category C) include wood-shuttered windows and two single beds (non-convertible).

Deluxe Staterooms (Category E, on Texas Deck) offer one wood-shuttered window and two single beds, with some featuring a Queen-size double bed.

Select Staterooms (Category G, on Sun Deck) have one wood-shuttered window and two single beds (non-convertible).

Standard Staterooms (Category I) include one wood-shuttered window and two single bunk beds (upper and lower). These cabins may be available for solo travelers without a single-occupancy surcharge, subject to availability.
