MS Delta Queen (built in 1927) is an authentic American stern paddlewheel steamboat. She cruises along the Mississippi River and its tributaries, primarily in the southern United States. The riverboat was docked in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she served as a hotel ship until 2015, when she was purchased by the newly established Delta Queen Steamboat Company. Similar sternwheel riverboats can be found in the fleets of AQV - American Queen Voyages (formerly AQSC) and ACL - American Cruise Lines.
The Delta Queen cruise ship deck plans feature a total of 88 staterooms (accommodating up to 176 passengers), two bar lounges (the Forward Cabin Lounge with the Front Porch of America, and the Texas Lounge with an open-air terrace/alfresco area), a Lobby Hall (Reception Desk/Purser and Gift Shop), the Betty Blake Library (Reading Room/Cards Room), the Orleans Room (Restaurant and Galley/Kitchen), and an Engine Room Viewing Lounge offering views of the stern paddlewheel.
