Havila Polaris ferry cabins review

The cruise ferry Havila Polaris has a total of 179 staterooms (468 berths in lower and upper beds), plus 172 seats (recliner/aircraft-type) in the Reserved Seating Lounge for day passengers, available for pre-booking.

All passenger cabins are air-conditioned and feature carpet flooring, ensuite bathrooms (washbasin, toilet, glass shower, mirrored cabinets, hairdryer), wall-mounted HDTV, multiple USB ports, free WiFi, bedside tables with reading lamps, wardrobe, writing desk with armchair, 2-seater couch, and electronic safe (in the closet). Bed linens, towels, and toiletries are provided.

Some cabins are wheelchair-accessible (adapted for disabled passengers and those with reduced mobility). Pet-friendly cabins (with linoleum flooring) are also available. Staterooms are offered in both inside and outside categories, ranging from economy to luxury. Luxury cabins are oceanview, larger in size, and equipped with fixed lower beds (a double convertible to twins), a double sofabed (or 2-seater sofa), larger wardrobes with sliding doors, and bonus amenities such as a mini-refrigerator and tea/coffee machine.

Disabled passengers or those requiring assistance should contact the Lobby’s Reception/Information Desk. All passengers must vacate their cabins 30 minutes before port arrival.

MS Havila Polaris staterooms are offered in 7 categories:

  • Interior cabins (10 m² / 110 ft²) for up to 2 passengers, with 2 separate single beds or a lower + upper folding bunk bed, no windows.
  • Interior Plus cabins (16-18 m² / 170-190 ft²) for 2-4 passengers, with 1 double sofabed + 2 single beds or a lower + upper folding bunk bed, no windows, and bonus amenities (mini-refrigerator, coffee machine).
  • Seaview cabins (15 m² / 160 ft²) for 2-4 passengers, with Picture Window, 1 double sofabed + double bed or 2 single beds or lower + upper folding bunk, plus mini-refrigerator and coffee machine.
  • Seaview Plus cabins (20 m² / 215 ft²) for up to 2 passengers, with 1 double bed convertible to twins (two single lower beds), 2-seater sofa, Picture Window, mini-refrigerator, and coffee machine.
  • Deluxe Seaview cabins (30 m² / 320 ft²) for 2-4 passengers, with large or floor-to-ceiling windows, separate sleeping and seating areas (glass table, armchair, swivel TV stand), and bonus amenities (fridge drawer, coffee machine). Deluxe Seaview cabins are located aft with large windows, while Deluxe Panoramic View cabins are bow-located with floor-to-ceiling windows.
  • Balcony Junior Suites (22-25 m² / 235-270 ft²), bow-located, for 2-4 passengers, with double bed (non-convertible to twins), 2-seater sofa or sofabed, floor-to-ceiling windows, step-out balcony (6-9 m² / 65-95 ft²), swivel TV stand, recliner chairs, bonus amenities (fridge drawer, coffee machine, two wardrobes), and complimentary breakfast in the MDR/Buffet or A-la-carte Restaurant.

The ship’s largest staterooms are the two Presidential Suites (45 m² / 485 ft²), each for 2 passengers with a king-size bed. Each suite has a private terrace (15 m² / 160 ft²) with Jacuzzi and two loungers, a large bathroom (shower and whirlpool bath), dining room (4-seat table), living room (3-seater sofa, gas fireplace, two lounge chairs).
