MS Viola cabins review
MS Viola cruise ship has a total of 60 cabins, including 34 wheelchair-accessible (handicap) staterooms. All accommodations are outside/riverview, tastefully decorated, elegantly furnished, and comfortable. Each cabin is equipped with two separate lower beds that can be pushed together to form a double bed. Standard amenities include individually controlled air conditioning, en-suite bathroom (washbasin, shower, WC, hairdryer), flat-screen TV (satellite reception, daily schedule/ship information channel), intercom phone, alarm clock radio, wardrobe, electronic safe (in the closet), Nespresso coffee machine, minibar (refrigerator), and lockable drawers. Some cabins share a bathroom positioned between them. These are pairs of adjoining units consisting of a wheelchair-accessible cabin connected to a standard twin cabin for accompanying passengers.
As a former hospital ship, Viola’s 34 wheelchair-accessible cabins are specifically designed for guests with reduced mobility. These staterooms feature wider entry and bathroom doors, height-adjustable beds with locking wheels, emergency buttons, and fully accessible bathrooms with lowered washbasins, roll-in showers, and toilets fitted with foldable grab rails on both sides. An extra-wide elevator (passenger lift) connects all decks, including the Sun Deck (top deck).
Main Deck cabins are wheelchair-accessible, offering 120 cm (47-inch) wide entry doors and large non-opening windows. Their beds are electrically height-adjustable, equipped with locking wheels, and can be separated with a privacy curtain. Lower Deck cabins are not wheelchair-accessible and have small non-opening windows. Their beds can also be separated with curtains upon request.
