MV Magellan Discoverer cabins review
Magellan Explorer has a total of 50 staterooms across five categories (cabins and suites), including accommodations for single occupancy. Double cabins are fitted with two lower twin beds that can be converted into a double bed. All cabins, except the forward-located Porthole Cabins on Deck 3, feature private step-out balconies. Only eight staterooms are equipped with Porthole Windows (two small, round, non-opening windows).
Most double cabins have two twin beds convertible to a King-size bed. All other staterooms offer two twin beds convertible to a Queen-size bed. Standard in-cabin amenities include a lounge/sitting area (two armchairs, coffee table, and a writing desk with chair), HDTV (satellite reception), wardrobe, telephone, hairdryer, electronic safe (in the closet), wall-mounted reading lamps, ceiling LED lighting, and an en-suite bathroom with WC, separate shower, single-sink vanity, premium bath products, bathrobes, and slippers. Additional features include bedside cabinets, EU-USA combo electrical outlets with USB ports, and individually controlled air conditioning.
Cabin balconies are accessed through floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. A King-size bed measures 2 x 2 m (82 x 78 inches), while a twin bed measures 1 x 2 m (41 x 78 inches).
