Review of AIDAcara deck 8 (Dining-Lounge-Kids)
The ship’s Theater is 2-tiered and has a capacity of 700 seats. This is the main show venue onboard. In the evenings, it hosts large-scale music and show productions with live performances, including cabaret dancing, magician and comedy act, acrobatics. During the day, the Theater hosts lectures and presentations, trivia games, Bingo.
Kids Club has 2 playrooms and serves the AIDA Cruises children program (complimentary). The program offers supervised, age-appropriate activities (scheduled morning, afternoon, evening programs), up to 6 hours (port days) and 7 hours (sea days). The 3 age groups are Seahorses (3-6 yo), Dolphins (7-9 yo), and Sharks (10-11 yo). The list of kids' activities includes themed parties, treasure hunts, storytelling, watching movies, art-craft workshops, console gaming, trivia games.
(Kunstgalerie) Art Gallery shows and sells original artworks by mainly German artists and art schools, and by newcomers. The Gallery also hosts art auctions on some evenings.
AIDA Bar Lounge is a fresh-looking, big-capacity lounge with floor-ceiling windows (starboard/portside views). It is furnitured with high-tables, couches, plenty of bar stools around the bar section in the middle.
(Ausflug Counter) Shore Excursions Desk (information on land tours, booking, excursions reservations, and also serves the AIDA line’s on-ship cruise booking program (travel packages, discounts, information).
(Fotogalerie – Shop) Photo Gallery & Shop (professional photo and video services, duty-free equipment, and accessories). The Photo Gallery shows and sells pictures made by the ship’s photographers. A new feature is the photo kiosks for individual photo ordering, equipped with a touch-screens /face-recognition system.
Rossini is the ship’s only specialty restaurant (dinner-only, at a surcharge, reservations required) with waiter service and a 6-course, differently themed each night a la carte menu, extensive wine list).
AIDA Shop sells duty-free merchandise (up to 20% discount prices) – general store items (incl liquor and tobaccos), luxury watches, jewelry, perfumes, cosmetics, brand fashion clothing and accessories, casual apparel, AIDA logo merchandise.
Markt Restaurant is the bigger main dining room on the ship. This is a self-service buffet restaurant with various food stations /stalls. The Market restaurant has both indoor seating and an outdoor terrace.
