Review of Fred Olsen Borealis deck 4 (Lobby-Lounge1-Dining1)

Forecastle (observation area) offers direct forward/bow views, making it a prime spot for scenic cruising and viewing natural phenomena.

Neptune Lounge/Theatre (lower level 1 of 2) is a two-tiered, theatre-style show lounge located forward on Decks 4 and 5. The venue hosts the ship’s main evening shows, including cabaret, music, comedy and magic acts. During the day, it transforms into a lecture hall/enrichment venue for “Signature Experiences” and “Audience With…” sessions, offering a mix of entertainment and education. For Fred Olsen’s production-partnership with RWS Global, the Theatre was upgraded with new stage technology, lighting and acoustics, and the addition of aerial silks.

The Lobby Hall houses the Guest Services (onboard credit, money services), Destination Services/Shore Excursions Desk (booking, information, planning), and Front Office (Reception/guest assistance, information, reservations /bookings).

Auditorium is a versatile venue designed for interactive and educational events such as live cooking demonstrations and presentations. It features spacious seating arranged for clear views of the stage, making it ideal for guests to learn new skills and enjoy engaging activities at sea.

Colours & Tastes Restaurant is a speciality dining venue offering a vibrant Asian-fusion menu which lists dishes inspired by Japan, China, Thailand and the Philippines, including dim sum, stir-fries, spiced grilled meats and seafood. In 2026, the restaurant’s menu was expanded with rotating themes, including Gourmet Grill and Traditional Italian options alongside its core Asian-fusion cuisine.

Borealis Restaurant (aft Main Dining Room) offers complimentary, full-service meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The interior features large windows and a classical decor. Evening meals typically include a 5-course a la carte menu with options ranging from steaks and seafood to vegetarian and vegan dishes, complemented by Fred Olsen’s sommelier-recommended wines.
