MS Esplanade (built in 2010) is one of the most luxurious Nile River cruise ships in Egypt. The vessel’s deck plan includes a total of 67 staterooms accommodating up to 140 passengers, served by 70 English-speaking crew and staff. The ship features five passenger decks and a spacious Sun Deck with an outdoor lounge, shaded seating, cabanas, swimming pool, and jacuzzi. Other onboard facilities include a restaurant, lounge, two bars, gym, spa, and sauna. The riverboat does not have a self-service laundry (laundrette) or elevators. Fleetmates include her sisterships Mayfair (2010) and Mayflower (2019).
The ship’s dress code permits swimsuits, shorts, and tank tops only on the Sun Deck. When ashore, women are advised to cover their arms with a scarf and avoid skirts above the knee. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for excursions and land tours.
