Review of AmaNubia
The 2026-built AmaWaterways ship AmaNubia cruises on the Nile River in Egypt, departing from homeport Luxor. The vessel is Egypt-flagged and has a maximum passenger capacity of 76, with a crew of 65. This newbuild will be inaugurated in November 2026.
AmaWaterways' Nile fleet also includes the sisterships AmaDahlia (2021) and AmaLilia (2024).
This riverboat features a modern design, floor-to-ceiling windows in all public areas and most cabins, a spacious Sundeck with a large swimming pool and two whirlpools, and state-of-the-art maritime technologies.
One passenger elevator and a centrally located staircase connect decks 1 through 4. Access to the Sundeck is via stairs only.

Decks and Cabins
AmaNubia has 38 staterooms, including 15 Suites.
Most Suites are sized 40 m2/430 ft2 (Lotus, Luxury, Grand). The largest accommodation is the Owner's Suite (49 m2/525 ft2).
All Suites and Atrium cabins have step-out balconies, and there are 9 cabin categories.
All staterooms have French Balconies and accommodate up to two guests in double-occupancy arrangements.

All cabins come with a 42-inch smart HDTV (with local/satellite channels) featuring an infotainment system offering complimentary Internet, on-demand movies, real-time bridge cam, and ship information channel.
Shipboard Facilities
The ship's two dining venues are the Journeys Restaurant (Dining Room on Deck 1 forward) and The Chef’s Table (aft on Deck 4), with an à la carte venue featuring a 7-course tasting menu. Complimentary wine by the glass is served at both venues.
The two-deck-high Atrium (Lobby Hall) houses the Reception Desk, Cruise Director’s Office, Boutique Shop, Library, and portside/starboard ship entrances.
Deck 5 (Sun Deck) features teak flooring throughout and is equipped with a forward swimming pool, two whirlpool hot tubs, a sunbathing area with premium loungers and garden daybeds, and an outdoor lounge with two roof-covered seating areas furnished with cushioned couches and tables. The aft Sundeck Bar provides full beverage service.

Deck 2's Bar Lounge (The Lark Lounge & Bar) hosts nightly live entertainment, including Galabeya parties (with traditional dress), Darwish dance shows, and belly dancing.
On Deck 3 is the Navigation Bridge/Wheelhouse (forward) and the ship’s wellness complex (aft) which consists of a Fitness (gym room with Technogym equipment), a spa (two treatment rooms for massages), and a Beauty Salon (hairdresser and nail studio).

AmaWaterways Nile Cruisetour Itineraries
AmaNubia's Nile River cruises are scheduled to begin with the Maiden Voyage on November 10th, 2026.
The 11-night cruisetour includes a 7-night roundtrip sailing from Luxor, plus a 3-night pre-cruise and 1-night post-cruise stay in Cairo at the 5-star Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence. The hotel stay is included in the cruise fare.
The 11-night/12-day itinerary, themed “Secrets of Egypt and the Nile,” includes domestic flights between Cairo and Luxor (included in the fare) and is available seasonally from September through May. Optional pre-cruise extensions include 3 nights in Dubai, UAE or 4 nights in Jordan (Amman and Petra), and a post-cruise extension of 4 nights in Israel (Jerusalem).
The itinerary offers guests a luxurious journey through Egypt, with visits to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Expert-guided excursions (included in the fare) feature the Karnak Temple Complex, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings and Queens (including Nefertari’s Tomb), and Aswan (Nubian Village).
From Cairo, optional tours include the Egyptian Museum, Abdeen Palace (presidential workplace), the Pyramids of Giza, and the Great Sphinx.
