AmaPura Wiki

The APT AmaPura is the only AmaWaterways ship offering luxury Irrawaddy River cruises in Burma. The line’s other vessels in Southeast Asia include AmaLotus and AmaDara, which operate Mekong River cruises in Vietnam and Cambodia. These luxury riverboats are operated under the AMA line’s "AmaVoyages" division.

MS AmaPura is a newly built riverboat specifically designed for Irrawaddy River cruising (also known as "The Road to Mandalay"). Flowing north to south through Myanmar/Burma, the Irrawaddy is the country’s largest and most commercially important river, connecting to the Andaman Sea via the Irrawaddy Delta.

Other luxury cruise lines offering similar Irrawaddy River itineraries in Burma include Avalon Waterways (Myanmar), Scenic (Aura), and Viking Cruises (Mandalay, Orient).
