AmaMora

The 2019-built AmaMora ship cruises on the Rhine River departing from homeports Amsterdam and Basel. The 158-riverboat Mora is scheduled for launch in 2019 - together with the fleetmate (Europe's largest riverboat) AmaMagna.

AMAwaterways also considered 3 additional vessels for 2019 to operate in Asia (rivers Irrawaddy and Ganges) and on the Douro River (in Portugal).

AmaMora's sisterships (from the modified Concerto-class series) are the fleetmates AmaKristina (2016), AmaLea (2018), AmaSiena (2020), AmaStella (2016), AmaViola (2016).

Cabins

The cruise ship features the advanced AmaWaterways design and exclusive Twin Balconies (available in most cabins/235 ft2-sized). Four suites are sized 350 ft2. AmaMora staterooms (79 total) include 4x Suite, 45x Twin Balcony, 18x French Balconies, 12x Window (with non-opening windows) in all 8 cabin grades.

Shipboard facilities

Ship's restaurants include the Main Dining Room, Chef’s Table (tasting menu), Wine Bar (private), Sun Deck (alfresco). Guests can have gourmet dining and free-flowing wines at the multiple dining venues.

The ship also has an Observation Lounge (with al fresco Teak Front Deck), Main Lounge & Bar, Mora Atrium (lobby), Fireside Library, Gift Shop, Gym/Fitness, Sauna Room, top-deck (pool/jacuzzi, swim-up bar, sundeck loungers and shaded relaxation area, giant chess, putting green, walking track), 1 elevator (passenger lift). Passengers on AMA Mora tend to be 45+, mainly Americans.

AmaMora cruise deals are inclusive of the Internet (and Wi-Fi), all tours/excursions (including on bikes), ground transfers, live evening entertainment (local performers), daily enrichment lectures, food and wine tastings, 24-hour coffee/tea, replenished daily bottled water.

River Cruise Itineraries

AmaMora operates Rhine River cruise tours between Amsterdam and Basel. Follows the list of AmaWaterways ship AmaMora river cruise itineraries as themes:

• "ENCHANTING RHINE” are 12-days (sailing 7 days) Rhine river cruises from Amsterdam to Basel. There is a 2-night Lucerne hotel package included in the fares.
• "CHRISTMAS MARKETS ON THE RHINE" are 12-days (sailing 8 days) Christmas Markets cruises from Amsterdam to Basel, visiting France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, with 2-nights in Lucerne. Other special offers are the “Wine” themed river cruises featuring famous wine connoisseurs as guest lecturers.

The boat also operates on wine-themed cruises.

The APT AmaMora boat is company's 11th riverboat (of the modern Concerto-class) with sisterships AmaKrisitna (2016), AmaLea (2018), AmaLucia (2021), AmaSiena (2020), AmaStella (2016), AmaViola (2016). This is a new river cruise ship design featuring the "Twin Balcony" accommodations concept. It combines the traditional French Balcony with a second covered open-air verandah for all-weather use. Each of these riverboats is powered by two "Caterpillar" marine diesel engines (model "C32 DITA ACERT" V-12, total power output 1900 kW / 2550 HP).

In late-October 2018 was announced boat's Godmother - Libbie Rice, co-president of Ensemble Travel Group (1968-founded, member-owned and run organization of approx 850 independent travel agencies). Ship's official christening ceremony was scheduled for July 15, 2019, but held on July 19th in Lahnstein (Rhineland-Palatinate state, Germany).

The 7-night inaugural cruise itinerary (from Amsterdam to Basel) started on June 3 and offered 20 complimentary tours ashore. Next table shows maiden voyage's ports sequence.

Vessel's construction (hull and superstructure, ENI number 07002112) was done at Vahali Shipyard in Zasavica (Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia). The 1923-founded Dutch shipbuilding company (Scheepswerf En Machinefabriek Vahali BV) owns and operates yards in Serbia (Belgrade, and Zasavica) and in Holland (Gendt). Vahali Shipyard Zasavica was officially opened in 2013. Following the construction in Serbia, the AmaMora ship was towed to Holland for final outfitting at Scheepswerf Vahali (Gendt).

All AMAwaterways ships provide complimentary bicycles (stored on the boat's sundeck) on shore excursions/tours in each port along the cruise itineraries.

49-day "Seven River Journey 2024" (world's longest river cruisetour)

In September 2022 was unveiled the company's/world's ever-longest river sailing scheduled for AmaMora in 2024.

The 49-night “Seven River Journey - Spring and Summer Editions” combo itinerary features navigation on 4 rivers (Moselle, Main, Rhine, Danube/with Main-Danube Canal passing), cruising the Danube Delta and the Black Sea, and visiting 15 countries in Europe (including Moldova/Giurgiulesti).

The "Seven River Journey: Spring 2024 Edition" itinerary departs from Amsterdam on April 22, 2024, and ends in Giurgiu Romania on June 10th.

The "Seven River Journey: Summer 2024 Edition" itinerary departs from Giurgiu on June 10th and ends in Amsterdam on July 29th. Before ending in The Netherlands, the voyage also features navigation on the Belgian and Dutch inland waterways Scheldt, Maas, and Waal.

Both itineraries (Seven River Journey 2024) are with prices inclusive of gratuities (onboard and ashore), land tours/ excursions, laundry services, special souvenirs.
