AmaMora

The 2019-built AmaMora cruises along the Rhine River, with departures from the homeports of Amsterdam and Basel. This 158-passenger riverboat was launched in 2019 alongside the fleetmate AmaMagna, Europe’s largest river cruise ship.

AmaWaterways also considered three additional ships for 2019 deployment in Asia (on the Irrawaddy and Ganges Rivers) and on Portugal's Douro River.

AmaMora’s sisterships, part of the modified Concerto-class, include AmaKristina (2016), AmaLea (2018), AmaSiena (2020), AmaSofia (2026), AmaStella (2016), and AmaViola (2016).

Cabins

The ship features AmaWaterways’ advanced design and the exclusive Twin Balcony concept (available in most cabins, approximately 235 ft²). The four Suites are 350 ft² each.

AmaMora staterooms total 79, consisting of 4 Suites, 45 Twin Balcony, 18 French Balcony, and 12 Window cabins (with non-opening windows), across eight cabin categories.

Shipboard Facilities

Dining venues include the Main Dining Room, Chef’s Table (tasting menu), a private Wine Bar, and an alfresco option on the Sun Deck. Guests enjoy gourmet meals and complimentary wines at multiple onboard venues.

Additional onboard amenities include an Observation Lounge (with alfresco Teak Front Deck), Main Lounge & Bar, Mora Atrium (lobby), Fireside Library, Gift Shop, Fitness Room, Sauna, and a top-deck area with a pool/jacuzzi, swim-up bar, sun loungers, shaded areas, giant chess, putting green, and a walking track.

A single glass elevator serves the passenger decks.

All AmaWaterways ships offer complimentary bicycles (stored on the sundeck) for use during shore excursions in each port along their itineraries.

AmaMora cruise fares include complimentary Wi-Fi and Internet access, guided shore excursions (including by bike), ground transfers, live evening entertainment with local performers, daily enrichment lectures, wine and food tastings, 24-hour coffee and tea service, and daily replenished bottled water.

Prices are per person, based on double occupancy. Listed fares are indicative and may vary depending on travel agency promotions, discounts, group bookings, or last-minute deals. AmaWaterways also offers discounted airfare deals on major airlines, without Flight Deviation fees, for AmaMora cruise bookings.

Itineraries

AmaMora sails on Rhine River itineraries between Amsterdam and Basel. Themed cruise itineraries include:

• “ENCHANTING RHINE” – 12-day cruises (with 7 days sailing) from Amsterdam to Basel, including a 2-night hotel stay in Lucerne.
• “CHRISTMAS MARKETS ON THE RHINE” – 12-day holiday cruises (8 days sailing) from Amsterdam to Basel, visiting ports in France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, with a 2-night stay in Lucerne. Wine-themed cruises also feature guest lectures from renowned wine experts.

The ship also operates wine-themed cruises.

The APT AmaMora is AmaWaterways' 11th modern Concerto-class riverboat, with sisterships including AmaKristina (2016), AmaLea (2018), AmaLucia (2021), AmaSiena (2020), AmaSofia (2026), AmaStella (2016), and AmaViola (2016). This new river cruise ship design introduces the "Twin Balcony" concept, combining a French Balcony with a second, step-out covered veranda for all-weather use. Each of these vessels is powered by two Caterpillar marine diesel engines (model C32 DITA ACERT, V-12) with a total output of 1900 kW / 2550 HP.

In late October 2018, Libbie Rice, Co-President of Ensemble Travel Group (a 1968-founded, member-owned organization with around 850 independent travel agencies), was announced as the ship’s Godmother.

AmaMora’s official christening ceremony took place on July 19, 2019, in Lahnstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, having been originally scheduled for July 15th.

The 7-night inaugural cruise (from Amsterdam to Basel) began on June 3 and featured 20 complimentary shore tours.

The ship's construction (hull and superstructure, ENI number 07002112) was completed at Vahali Shipyard in Zasavica (Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia). The 1923-founded Dutch company Scheepswerf En Machinefabriek Vahali BV owns and operates shipyards in Serbia (including Belgrade and Zasavica) and in the Netherlands (Gendt). After construction in Serbia, AmaMora was towed to Holland for final outfitting at Scheepswerf Vahali (Gendt).

49-day "Seven River Journey 2024" (World’s Longest River Cruise Tour)

In September 2022, AmaWaterways announced its longest-ever river sailing, scheduled aboard AmaMora in 2024.

The 49-night “Seven River Journey – Spring and Summer Editions” combines cruising on four major rivers (Moselle, Main, Rhine, and Danube, including the Main-Danube Canal), navigation through the Danube Delta and the Black Sea, and visits to 15 European countries (including Moldova/Giurgiulesti).

The “Seven River Journey: Spring 2024 Edition” departs from Amsterdam on April 22, 2024, and concludes in Giurgiu, Romania on June 10.

The “Seven River Journey: Summer 2024 Edition” departs from Giurgiu on June 10 and ends in Amsterdam on July 29. Before returning to the Netherlands, it also sails on the Belgian and Dutch inland waterways Scheldt, Maas, and Waal.

Both itineraries are priced inclusively, covering gratuities (onboard and ashore), land tours, excursions, laundry services, and special souvenirs.

AmaWaterways’ Seven River Journeys (European Grand Voyages) debuted in 2021.
