Review of MS Monarch Duchess deck 4 (Sun-Pool)

On the Sun Deck is the ship’s open-air whirlpool with a small sunbathing area. Next is the Navigation Bridge (called Wheelhouse on riverboats). It is passenger accessible and can be lowered when the ship passes under low bridges.

Behind the Bridge is the “Sky Lounge” with its Sun Terrace (outdoor seating area). This is an al-fresco bistro for light lunches and afternoon drinks, served by its own bar & grill station.

The “Sky Light” dome covers the Luminary Atrium, letting natural daylight into the ship’s interior.

The Sky Deck is a large open-air observation space. It has premium lounge chairs, three shaded by awnings seating areas, and a small game area. The Sun Deck is the other place on the Luminary ship (besides the Panorama Lounge) where they serve Afternoon Tea/Coffee, complimented with sweet treats.
