Review of MS Verdi deck 3 (Upper-Lobby-Dining-Lounge)

  • The fore-located Bar Lounge is ship's show lounge with floor-ceiling windows (180-degree scenery views), large LCD TV, drop-down screen, comfortable seating (round tables, armchairs, double sofas), full-service Bar. By the daily enrichment program here are held port talks and discussions, lectures (culture- and history themed, based on the current cruisetour itinerary), multimedia presentations, evening crew show (talent show), folklore performances (by local musicians and dancers), themed dance parties, watching movies. Special activities are the food and wine tastings (local delicacies, regional wines, cheeses, gourmet sweets).
  • The ship features a fore-located Promenade Deck - narrow outdoor terrace (with bench seating) that wraps around the Lounge.
  • Upper Deck is riverboat's Lobby Deck, with 1,5-deck high Atrium and Lobby Bar Lounge. Reception Desk provides 24-hour guest services (assistance, information, purser), Cruise Director Office (tours / excursions and daily scheduled activities information). There is a Library stocked with books in different languages, magazines, playing cards, popular board games, travel guides. Also in the Lobby (portside) there is a 24-hour open Tea and Coffee Station (complimentary). Gift Shop (boutique) sells jewelry, watches, itinerary-based merchandise (gifts, souvenirs).
  • The aft-located Restaurant is an open-seating Dining Room (complimentary) with single-seating capacity, floor-ceiling windows on both sides, rectangular and round tables (up to 6-seat), buffet station. Breakfasts and lunches are buffet-style. Breakfast menu has fruits, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, breads, pastries, scrambled eggs, cold meats, made-to-order omelet station. Lunch menu has salads, sandwiches, soups, main dishes, cheeses, desserts (including fresh-baked cookies, cakes, ice cream). Dinners are 3-course and waiter-served. Dinner menu has appetizers, soup, entree (incl vegetarian), dessert. Captain’s formal dinners (Welcome / Farewell) are also held here. Dining amenities include luxury table linens, quality china, cutlery, glassware.
  • Adjacent to the Restaurant (aft) is the Galley (ship kitchen), with storage facilities located on Middle Deck (below). Passengers are allowed to tour the Galley and see the food preparation process.
  • Cruise cabins from 300 to 321, all of which are French Balcony Staterooms in category Upper Deck (midship-aft, with sliding floor-ceiling windows). Upper Deck cabins are 1/2-deck higher, with location separate from public areas.
