Review of MSC Explora 3 deck 11 (Lido-Pools-Sundeck1)

Deck 11 houses the fore-located Explora Lounge (bow-facing indoor venue), Malt Whiskey & Cigar Bar, Outdoor Cigar Lounge (portside), the starboard-facing Meeting Rooms, and Children's Area (Nautilus Club Juniors & Teens).

The Explora Lounge is a bow-facing indoor bar lounge offering 270-degree panoramic views through large windows. The venue provides comfortable seating for guests to have light meals, snacks and beverages, including barista-style coffee, loose-leaf teas, smoothies, fresh-pressed juices, traditional afternoon tea and cocktails. Explora Lounge is illuminated by natural light during the day, and transitions to a setting with live jazz or piano music performances in the evenings.

The Malt Whiskey & Cigar Bar is a dedicated smoking-allowed venue adjacent to the Explora Lounge. The venue focuses on a curated selection of whiskies from around the world, including rare and region-distinct expressions. It features a walk-in humidor and a cigar expert to assist with cigar selection. The cigar lounge extends into an open-air, outdoor smoking-allowed terrace beside the whisky bar. The bar’s drink offerings include dark-spirit-centred whisky choices as well as signature whisky-based cocktails. The space is designed to provide an indoor seating area with an outdoor smoking terrace integrated into the lounge environment.

The Nautilus Club Juniors is intended for younger children aged 3 to 5 years. It includes age-appropriate activities with supervised care provided by trained hosts for specified hours. Children under 3 are welcome to join their parents. The Nautilus Club Teens is geared toward children and teenagers 6 to 17 years old. It offers a variety of entertainment and enrichment options tailored to older youths, including games, creative activities and social engagement under the guidance of certified hosts. The Nautilus Club as a whole operates daily with structured activities, and its facilities are part of the ship’s family-friendly amenities.

Midship is the Conservatory Pool & Bar (main indoor swimming pool covered by a retractable glass roof), the surrounding sunbathing area, and two large Indoor Whirlpools/spa pools. The pool deck is served by the poolside bar Gelateria & Creperie (snacks and beverages) and the Emporium Marketplace (All-Day Dining Restaurant/indoor Lido buffet with an aft terrace/outdoor seating).

In the evenings, the Conservatory Pool & Bar transforms into Cinema (for watching movies under the stars).
