National Geographic Islander 2 deck plans

National Geographic Islander 2 (1989-built as “MegaStar Taurus”, last refurbished in March 2022, with a major refit as “Crystal Esprit” in 2015) is a top-luxury superyacht that operated for Crystal Yacht Cruises from 2015 to 2021. The ship was ordered under Crystal’s then-new parent company GHK (Genting Hong Kong) and, since 2021, has been owned by Lindblad Expeditions and deployed in the Galapagos Islands. The vessel is designed for near-coastal cruising, allowing access to small ports, harbors, rivers, islands, and cays that are inaccessible to larger ships.

The Crystal Esprit/Nat Geo Islander 2 cruise ship deck plan shows a total of 31 staterooms (for 62 passengers) served by 91 crew. The yacht has 5 decks (4 passenger-accessible, 2 with cabins), 3 restaurants, 3 lounges and bars, 1 swimming pool, 2 Jacuzzis (outdoor whirlpool tubs), 4 Zodiacs (motorized RIBs), 1 mini-submarine, 1 tender boat, a water-sports marina, self-service laundromats (located on the two cabin decks – Horizon and Seabreeze), bicycles for shoreside use, and no elevators.

The all-inclusive superyacht offers a wide range of complimentary amenities and services.

• Gratuities, butler service (all Suites), 24-hour in-room dining (main dining room menu), 24-hour room service, self-service laundry (detergent provided), and twice-daily housekeeping with evening turndown.
• Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet: since 2015, all guests (regardless of cabin category) receive 60 minutes of free Wi-Fi per person per day. Penthouse Suites receive 90 minutes per person per day.

All onboard restaurants feature premium linens (by Garnier-Thiebaut), Riedel crystal, and deluxe china (by Villeroy & Boch).
