Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities

Sylvia Earle deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2026-2027-2028 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Aurora Expeditions deckplan pdf (printable version).

Each of the Sylvia Earle cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Sylvia Earle staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.

MS Sylvia Earle (built in 2022) is the fourth vessel in a 7-ship series of expedition cruise ships owned by SunStone Ships Inc (USA). The ship is operated under charter by Aurora Expeditions Australia. From the same INFINITY-Class (ULSTEIN CX103 design) are her sisterships Greg Mortimer (2019), Ocean Victory (2021), Ocean Explorer (2021), Ocean Albatros (2022), Ocean Odyssey (2022), and Douglas Mawson (2025).

Sylvia Earle's deck plan includes a total of 71 staterooms for 120 passengers (maximum capacity 160), served by 56 crew (plus 18 staff). The ship has 8 decks (6 passenger-accessible via one elevator, 4 with cabins), 2 sun decks (lower and upper), 3 restaurants, open-deck dining, a piano bar, a two-deck observation lounge, a show lounge (lecture theater), wellness facilities (gym and spa), a shop, a library, changing facilities (Mudroom for Zodiac landings), 20 Zodiac boats, a swimming pool, 2 Jacuzzis, and a pool bar.

The interior design for the entire SunStone-owned INFINITY-Class series was created by the Weston, Florida-based company Tomas Tillberg Design. A distinctive feature on Sylvia Earle is the two-level (two-deck-high) glass-enclosed Bar Lounge located at the bow (forward on decks 5 and 6).

In early March 2021, Aurora Expeditions Australia announced that each passenger deck would be named after a renowned female conservationist, including Carden Crea Wallace AM (scientist), Joanna Lawrenson Ruxton (documentary film producer), Sharon Kwok (actress), and Bernadette Demientieff (Gwichyaa Gwich'in/Kutchakutchin, Alaska). Deck 5 is named after Sylvia Earle (born 1935), a US marine biologist, oceanographer, explorer, author, and lecturer.
