THE A (1993-built as “River Ambassador”, with a major refit and refurbishment in 2011, part of "U by Uniworld" since 2018) is the second of the Baroness-class Uniworld ships, together with her fleetmate sistership River Baroness/THE B. Uniworld’s European riverboats typically carry fewer passengers relative to their size, resulting in more spacious accommodations, highly personalized and attentive service, and some of the highest crew-to-guest ratios in the industry. The Uniworld line offers some of the best river cruise deals with all-inclusive fares.

The River Ambassador deck plan includes a total of 59 staterooms for 118 passengers, served by 41 crew members. The ship features 3 passenger decks, 1 restaurant, and 2 lounges with bars, as well as a spacious Sun Deck (with café, shaded seating, and passenger-use bicycles), gym, spa, and self-service laundry facility. The vessel does not have a pool/whirlpool, sauna, or elevators.
