In conjunction with the start of the company’s 50th birthday festivities, CCL-Carnival Cruise Line is giving passengers a first look at Carnival Celebration, sistership to the popular Carnival Mardi Gras, that is scheduled to debut in PortMiami Florida in November, revealing details on 4 of its 6 zones including Celebration Central.

On Carnival Celebration, the so-called Celebration Central is spanning Decks 6, 7 & 8. It is an update to the starboard side atrium that debuted onboard Mardi Gras, designed as the heart of the ship with a new look and the feeling of a festive party.

Carnival's Celebration Central will feature the 3-deck-high atrium with a ceiling like a burst of a confetti canon made of ~1,400 color-changing lighting fixtures transforming from day to night. The space will boast ~3,000-square-foot floor-to-ceiling windows on the side of the cruise ship that will change into 16 individually controlled, 6- by 14-foot LED screens working together with the changing entertainment options.

Celebration Central will include food & beverage options, such as Bonsai Sushi, Bonsai Teppanyaki, and JavaBlue Café, and entertainment like The Punchliner Comedy Club and Piano Bar 88.

The centerpiece of Celebration’s Ultimate Playground (Decks 18-20 Aft) is to be BOLT, The Ultimate Sea Coaster, soon to become the 2nd roller coaster at sea. The all-electric, motorcycle-inspired vehicles will race along an 800-foot (244-metre) long track 187 feet (57 metres) above sea level achieving speeds of up to 40 miles per hour.

Mauer Rides, the manufacturer of the top-deck attraction, has assembled BOLT on land and is now conducting shoreside unmanned test runs in Munich (Munchen, Germany Bavaria)

The zone will also include the ship's WaterWorks aqua park and SportSquare with a mini-golf course, full-court basketball, an exhilarating ropes course.

The Summer Landing zone (Deck 8 Aft) will still serve as the chill spot at sea via Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse, tempting with smoked-on-board favorites by Guy Fieri and an assortment of the company’s ParchedPig craft beers brewed on site, in addition to whirlpools, pools, The Watering Hole poolside bar, the Heroes Tribute Lounge.

Lido - the poolside zone (Decks 16-17 Aft), will offer all of the fun and delicious experiences from Carnival Mardi Gras, such as the 2-level RedFrog Tiki Bar, Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken restaurant, Guy’s Burger Joint, Seafood Shack, BlueIguana Cantina.
