Sarah Wikevand, managing director of ROL Cruise in the United Kingdom, will serve as Godmother of Emerald Cruises’ first ocean-going superyacht, Emerald Azzurra.

She will officially christen the 100-passenger newbuild in Venice (Marghera, Italy) on May 28.

As managing director of ROL Cruise, Wikevand is a highly-respected cruise industry advocate. As one of Emerald's top performing agents for superyacht cruises, her company has been instrumental in the success of launching the first ocean superyacht for Emerald Cruises, Emerald Azzurra.

The superyacht accommodates just 100 passengers in 50 deluxe staterooms and suites, of which 88% have a private balcony.

Emerald Azzurra boasts a luxurious small ship cruising experience, calling at ports and harbors only accessible to small yachts. She has stunningly appointed public areas, such as a wellness area with an infrared sauna, an infinity-style pool, and a marina platform for easy access to watersports/activities like electric bikes/stand-up paddleboards.

Emerald Azzurra, which entered service on March 12, 2022, is currently sailing an 8-day Croatia in Depth itinerary. She will continue sailing the Adriatic/Mediterranean coastlines prior to repositioning to Doha (Qatar) in December to sail the Arabian Peninsula between Dubai (UAE) and Doha.

Emerald Azzurra will be joined by sistership Emerald Sakara next year, with itineraries to the Red Sea and the Mediterranean on sale now.
