CCL-Carnival Cruise Line announced that its new Carnival Celebration ship will feature never-before-seen live entertainment.
From new aerialist acts and main production shows to parties, events, and game shows, the newbuild's unique offerings have been designed to be as many celebrations as they are performances, with engaging presentations, energetic music, upbeat vibes, playful choreography, colorful scenes, and fun.
Highlights from the ship's Playlist Productions & Center Stage offerings include:
- Color My World – An Indie Rock and Pop Love Story is an artistic love story that blends fun dance styles like street jazz, hip-hop, ballet, and musical theater with the best songs from pop genres to indie rock. The show features live painting with music and choreography to match.
- Rio Carnival (starting May 2023) is a high-energy Brazilian extravaganza that has guests moving their hips in a celebration of music and dance. The cast performs authentic samba, bossa nova, batudada, forro, carimbo, capoeira, and marchinha, as well as some of the most popular Latin pop songs of all time in Portuguese and English.
- The Most Magnificent Circus is a story of celebrating self-discovery featuring reimagined popular hits. Wire-rigged performers showcase their skills by soaring above the audience and creating action in every direction. The fleet's most extravagant aerialist show uses all of the high-flying capabilities with mesmerizing trapeze, chandelier, chair, ladder, hoop, and mirror aerial performances.
- Visual Symphony (starting December 2022) uses the 16 massive moving LED screens of Celebration Central, lasers and classic rock music to produce a high-tech visual masterpiece. The show takes full advantage of the special effects and cutting-edge technology in the zone’s 3-deck-high space.
In addition to the Love and Marriage, Family Feud Live, and Deal or No Deal game shows, some of the new offerings include:
- Cash Bash is in partnership with the casino team and passengers can win cash prizes as they compete in interactive activities and Fun Squad challenges.
- Guess That Groove gets guests ready to move as they show off knowledge of groovy dance skills and iconic tunes.
- What’s Age Got to Do With It - a question & answer trivia show for the fun of all ages, in which one parent and child have to prove they're the best family duo.
New parties, from Celebration Happy Hour at the Latitudes Bar to the Evolution mega-dance party hosted by Celebration’s pro DJ, there is no shortage of ways to celebrate.
In addition to Color My World, Playlist Productions is due to present the Cuban-meets-Latin Amor Cubano and Celestial Strings shows as well as Center Stage’s We Are One performance.
Carnival Celebration is currently in Finland and scheduled to start operations on November 6, 2022, with the 14-day Maiden Voyage (Transatlantic crossing from Southampton to Miami/RepositionCruises.com). The Caribbean deployment starts on Nov 21st, with year-round homeporting in Miami (Florida USA). The boat will operate 7-day Eastern and Western Caribbean roundtrips out of Terminal F (CCL's 3rd Miami terminal and the biggest in South Florida).
