The newly refurbished ship Diamond Princess welcomed passengers onboard for her inaugural sailing from homeport San Diego (California USA), helping to fuel tourism in the region and support local businesses.

According to John Padgett, Princess Cruises president, homeporting Diamond Princess in a destination as remarkable as San Diego and giving their west coast fans 4 convenient to drive California departure points to enjoy the Original Love Boat was an outstanding combination.

"Whether you're looking for four-, five- or seven-day convenient west coast vacations, or vacations that extend to Hawaiian or South Pacific, Princess Cruises has you covered at incredible values."

From November 2022 through to February 2023, Diamond Princess is expected to sail on a series of new itineraries ranging from 5 to 16 days and visiting ports along the Mexican Riviera, California Coast, and Hawaiian Islands. In addition, the cruise ship sails a unique 20-day voyage to Central America, roundtrip from San Diego CA on November 27.
