Virgin cancels Australia-New Zealand voyages in 2024 (Resilient Lady ship) based on passenger feedback

Virgin Voyages canceled 4 cruises from Australia to New Zealand scheduled in 2024 in favor of shorter sailings after getting feedback from clients and travel advisors.

All of the scheduled journeys were to take place aboard Resilient Lady.

They were due to sail in late January and early February next year. The passengers and travel advisors said they preferred shorter roundtrips that return to the same Australian port.

Virgin Voyages sent an email to passengers that read:

"We have received significant feedback from Sailors and travel partners about the voyages available, so we’re adjusting our sailing schedule to provide more round-trip sailings in Australia from Melbourne and Sydney.”

The original itineraries on the voyages to New Zealand included 5 stops. It is unknown what the new itineraries will be. Passengers who have already booked can choose between a full refund/having the credits transferred to a new trip.

Resilient Lady is Virgin's newest ship and is currently cruising around the Greek Islands prior to returning to Australia in fall 2023.
