P&O Cruises has announced that its LNG-powered cruise ship, Iona, will undergo her first drydocking in October 2025.

The drydock refurbishment, initially planned for March 2025, was rescheduled due to shipyard availability constraints.

As a result, 2 voyages have been canceled: a 14-night Canary Islands cruise departing on October 4th and a 7-night Northern Europe cruise departing on October 18th.

Passengers affected by these cancellations have been offered full refunds and a GBP 100 per person in OBC/onboard credit for rebooking, applicable to the first two guests per cabin.

The 2020-built Iona was constructed by Meyer Werft in Papenburg (Germany) but entered service in 2021.

The vessel (one of Carnival Corporation’s Excel Class) is scheduled to resume operations on October 25th, with a 7-night Spain and France itinerary leaving roundtrip from Southampton.
