On May 26, 2025, Azamara Cruises achieved a significant milestone by orchestrating the simultaneous arrival of three of its vessels—Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, and Azamara Onward—at the Port of Barcelona (Spain).
The event marked the first occasion in the company's history where these sister ships convened at the same port, symbolizing a notable moment in Azamara's operational narrative.
To commemorate this convergence, Azamara organized a series of events emphasizing its commitment to destination immersion and stakeholder engagement. Guests, including travel agents from the UK, DACH, and EMEA regions, were invited to a signature AzAmazing Evening at Finca Mas Solers, a 19th-century Renaissance-style mansion near Barcelona. The event featured authentic hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and live Spanish guitar performances, offering attendees a taste of local culture and traditions.
Furthering its engagement with stakeholders, Azamara hosted an exclusive panel discussion aboard the Azamara Journey. The session included insights from CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler and other senior executives, providing attendees with updates on the company's strategic direction, including the planned return to Alaska in 2026.
David Duff, Managing Director for the UK and EMEA, highlighted the significance of the event, noting the participation of 50 travel agents as a demonstration of Azamara's ongoing commitment to supporting the trade community.
Following the Barcelona event, Azamara's fleet is set to commence its summer season in Europe. The Azamara Quest is scheduled to head to Iceland to begin its Canada and New England program in July, while the remaining ships will operate comprehensive European itineraries, covering the British Isles, Northern Europe, and the Mediterranean.
In conjunction with these developments, Azamara is offering a limited-time 'May Flash Sale,' providing a 20% discount on select sailings booked by May 30, 2025. The promotion applies to voyages departing between June 19, 2025, and May 11, 2026, reflecting the company's efforts to enhance accessibility to its destination-focused experiences.
